Learn about our three different packages to choose the right level of support for you.

What A Doula Is (and Isn't)

A doula offers emotional support, reassurance and continuity throughout pregnancy and birth. We can help you feel more grounded, more confident, and more supported — without replacing your NHS midwife or clinical team.

We do: provide emotional support, listening, confidence building, support for birth partners, practical signposting, helping you feel prepared.

We don’t: provide medical advice, clinical care, diagnosis, or make decisions on your behalf.

  • 9 emotional support sessions
  • Birth support on the day
  • Calm reassurance + advocacy support
  • Support for your birth partner
  • Home or hospital birth support

  • Helping them feel confident and supported too
  • Depending on your planned place of birth and arrangements

“Up to 8 hours” — what that means
To keep things safe, fair, and affordable:

  • The birth-support clock starts when your doula arrives at the agreed birth location (home or hospital), or at the agreed “active support start time” (whichever you define in advance).
  • The clock ends at handover/exit (for example: when you are settled post-birth, or handover to partner/support person, or discharge from labour ward area – agreed in advance).

If you’d like more time than 8 hours, we can offer additional hours (subject to doula availability and an agreed rate) – with a pre-agreed cap so you’re never surprised by costs.

Best for

  • You want someone you know by your side on the day
  • You want continuity through pregnancy and labour
  • You want calm, steady emotional support when it matters most

Boundaries and Safety

  • This is non-clinical support alongside your NHS team
  • Your doula supports emotional wellbeing and advocacy – not medical decisions
  • We set clear on-call expectations and backup options before your due window
